Axe is one of the oldest tools man has created. Gradual transformation and the development of human skills separated battle axe from working axe which are very different in use and appearance. Battle axe was not only meant for fight but in many cultures it was a symbol of the warrior’s status.
Battle axes were used across the world for example in ancient Greece, ancient Egypt but also in ancient China. In the European context, probably the most famous axes are those used by Nordic nations or Gothic battle axe.
